Yes, Data is the big business in the market. Every second of the day processes our data. From the groceries we buy, to the work we do, from our likes to dislikes, health to wealth, there is collection and observation of every single piece of data. It can be intimidating for individuals. However people do not know the steps they can take when their data is violated. Thus, we celebrate International data privacy day to educate everyone about the importance and ways to safeguard data.
History
Data Protection Day commemorates Jan. 28, 1981, signing of Convention 108. It was the first legally binding international treaty dealing with privacy and data protection. Convention 108 is the instrument from which the right to data protection was taken seriously. In April 2006, The Council of Europe announced Jan 28 as International Data Privacy/Protection Day.
How to celebrate?
We, the frequent users of tech, should educate ourselves more about the uses of data. Moreover we should “own our privacy and respect the privacy of others”. We can ensure our data protection by using private encrypted browsers, double-checking the privacy settings, Using more strong passwords, look-out for vulnerabilities in network-sharing and Bluetooth, back-up your data using reliable software/hardware, and securing wireless networks at home/offices. This is all about the right to be left alone without intervention.

International Lego day
January 28 is also about celebrating incredible toys that added color to our childhood. How carefully must we have built tall towers and big dinosaurs, vehicles and homes? The facts about Legos are so diverse. It ranges from creating mini-self made toys to building real-life homes and theme parks. Two piped Lego bricks can give you an approx. of 20 plus combinations. Never being unfit, Lego bricks was a company that we cherished our childhood with. Assigning ourselves the role of site constructor and building our imaginary places was all possible due to Lego bricks. So, Of course, there is a Lego day. The day to celebrate our inner constructors and creators.
History
Ole Kirk Christiansen, from Billund, Denmark, founded the Lego company. He was a carpenter and made wooden toys in the beginning. Lego grew to become the first toy company to buy injection mold machine to create plastic toys. Very shortly after that, Lego bricks came into existence. Later on, Lego was found and on January 28 in 1932, Lego was patented. So as to honor that day, we celebrate International Lego day.
How to celebrate?
Have a playdate with your kids, spouse, siblings or just yourself with Lego. Build whatever that you can think of. Remember Lego always gives a chance to redo. So, go build. Moreover, Lego is so popular among the kids, that it has also got two movies dedicated to it. Have a cozy afternoon or a late-night time to spare? So spend this day watching the Lego movies. How about a trip to the Legoland? A carefully built theme park with just Legos. A family trip will de-stress you from all your worries. Lego isn’t about age.
