Each day is significant and important. Some days we celebrate the joy of different events around the world. Hence, March 5 marks the celebration of World Book Day and Employee Appreciation Day. WORLD BOOK DAY:

Vicente Clavel Andres, a Valencian writer came up with the idea of World Book Day. He further suggested that the day must be celebrated to honor the famous author Miguel De Cervantes. Although the celebration of this event according to the declaration of UNESCO takes place on April 23. In different countries, the observance of World Book Day is on the first Thursday of March. Consequently, in 2021 one World Book Day takes place on March 5.
HOW TO CELEBRATE?
The perfect way to celebrate this day would be to try and inculcate the habit of reading. One can take any book and attempt to find the pleasure of reading. Individuals can even step out with friends for the reading of their favorite book. Thus, the day is all about appreciating the value of books and exploring the joy of reading.
EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY:
This day exists to appreciate the employees for their service. Consequently, Employee Appreciation Day is observed on March 5. One cannot deny the fact that when a company grows, the employees are needed for their service. Without the employees, no one could provide services to the customers. Thus, they are an integral part of any corporation.
HISTORY:
Employee Appreciation Day exists since 1995. It started as a response to Boss’s Day. The basic idea behind this was to encourage and appreciate both sides of any business. That is to say, the employer as well as the employee. Bob Nelson, working for his company i.e. Workman Publishing aimed to create this day. He did not want to underestimate the value of the employees.
HOW TO CELEBRATE?
It is quite simple to know how to celebrate this day. Employers can take their employees out for lunch and try to know more about them. They could even arrange a picnic for the employees. The purpose of this day is to appreciate the employees and their services. One can do this in different ways. Employers could also give sweets or other gifts to the employee on this day.
