We used to say “Remember Dad; I’m the one that gets to pick what ‘Home’ you go into. By using the word home, we denote the universal apparition of every independent adult, the adult care facility. While many of us would never think of sending our parents to a literally horrible place, and would always look for a safe and comfortable place for our parents. It is really vital to think about those particular men and women who make these provisions and the facilities available. Aged care employee day reminds us that there is still someone, whose hands we place the care of our matured at a time when we are not there to care for them ourselves.
So, the Whiddon group acknowledged that particular days like international nurses day didn’t cover a comprehensive enough variety to show some support and appreciation to all of the people who are mixed up in the care of the elderly and took some broad steps to modify that. There are almost 80% of people who supply aged care aren’t nurses, doctors, or any other medical professionals. They are kitchen staff; laundry workers and some volunteers who take their precious time out of their day just to make sure that our golden years and that of our beloved are full of soothing and hold up.
If we talk about the nurses being an indispensable component of the aged care industry, things that would merely pulverize to a discontinue without the help of the cleaners, cooks, drivers, hospitality teams, and laundry employees who deal with all the day to day finer points that help things move along easily.
