International Day against Nuclear Tests.
Nuclear tests and their effects.
Nuclear weapons tests are experiments carried out to determine the effectiveness, yield, and explosive capability of nuclear weapons. Testing nuclear weapons offers practical information about how the weapons function, as well as how detonations are affected by different conditions; and how personnel, structures, and equipment are affected when subjected to nuclear explosions.
The resolution in particular calls for increasing awareness “about the effects of nuclear weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions and the need for their cessation as one of the means of achieving the goal of a nuclear-weapon-free world”. The resolution was initiated by Kazakhstan together with several sponsors and cosponsors to commemorate the closure of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site on August 29, 1991
Since nuclear weapons testing began on 16 July 1945, nearly 2,000 have taken place. In the early days of nuclear testing little consideration was given to its devastating effects on human life, let alone the dangers of nuclear fallout from atmospheric tests. Hindsight and history have shown us the terrifying and tragic effects of nuclear weapons testing, especially when controlled conditions go awry, and in light of the far more powerful and destructive nuclear weapons that exist today.
Moreover, “convinced that nuclear disarmament and the total elimination of nuclear weapons are the only guarantee against the use or threat of nuclear weapons.
Stop before its late
It is not hidden of all the disastrous effects nuclear explosion and tests have on human beings as well as the environment, And not only for one year but years to years. Hence, it is the need now to stop this dangerous activity as soon as possible not only to save the present but also the future generations.
“Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.”
Its always believed that when you put all your best efforts into achieving something, you will never fail, and in case if you do, you won’t be unsatisfied. All required is to learn from your mistake and grow through them.
