When asked what is your go to comfort wear, almost everyone would say sweatpants. Well, that is the beauty of sweatpants. It is the ultimate comfiest form of clothing. Moreover, it defines who we really are. In this fashion and trends driven world, we often neglect ourselves and sunk into the hurly-burly of day-to-day lives. So, what can be best way to relax than simply putting on your coziest pyjamas? The day of January 21 is to expose your true self to the world. It is to give out the statement that your personal style is an extension of your mood for the day. The day is to look into your closet and find the most fellow feeling pair of clothing. Let us take a sneak peek into what Sweatpants Day is all about.

History

Émile Camuset, under an active wear company, invented sweatpants in 1920s. This company, called Le Coq Sportif, credited with inventing sweatpants was primarily based in Entzheim, France. The coziest piece of clothing was basically invented for athletes. Over time, sweatpants replaced every other comfort clothing in the wardrobe.

Moreover, sweatpants have been called different names by different people. These are inclusive of track pants, sweats, joggers, and many more. Nowadays, there are a multitude of variants of sweatpants available in the stores. You get color, material and style variants to cherry-pick from. Some materials include cotton, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, and spandex. Moreover, various other style variants are inclusive of Baggy, Drawstring, Basic length, Cropped, Elastic cuff, Pocketed, Relaxed fit, Slim, Striped and a lot more.

How To Celebrate?

The most you can do on this day is to put on your favorite pair of sweatpants and shop for even more. You can even get your wild and quirky self working and include the sweatpants that were never in your collection. Fill in your closet with wide variants of sweatpants and give yourself the necessary time to relax and be cozy sipping a hot cup of coffee. You can even post pictures on social media wearing sweatpants, and using the associated hashtag.

The day celebrates the rats with cuter outfits, what we call squirrels. This minuscule, fury creature of nature with a bushy tail has been a thing of beauty for humans. When we think of squirrels, we draw out the perception that too much of a good thing can be wonderful. On January 21, Squirrel Appreciation Day recognizes a critter some consider a pest and others see as just adorable. Let us know more about the day.

History

In words of Christy Hargrove, “Celebration of the event itself is up to the individual or group — anything from putting out extra food for the squirrels to learning something new about the species.”  Christy Hargrove works as a wildlife rehabilitator in the city of North Carolina. She was the one who laid the foundations for the Squirrel Appreciation Day on January 21 in the year 2001.

The day highlights the gorgeous creation of nature that add value to the ecosystem altogether. Moreover, it acknowledges the varieties of squirrel that exist in the nature and aims to raise awareness about them.

How To Celebrate?

You must have heard about star-gazing indeed. However, why not try out squirrel-gazing today. Watch out in your neighborhood and amaze yourself with the fascinations and adventures in a life of a squirrel. Visit a park and keep an eye on them as they hop from tree to tree. Moreover, you can set up a squirrel feeder and gaze at them feeding swiftly. You can also learn more about these notorious creatures through encyclopedias or documentaries. Squirrel watching can be as fun as bird watching. You may get your eyes glued at them and note the similarities or the differences.
