1779 John Adams negotiates Revolutionary War peace terms with Great Britain
Today in the year 1779 the Continental Congress appoints John Adams to travel to France. He was sent as a minister in charge of negotiating treaties of peace and commerce with Great Britain. He had also traveled to Paris the previous year to negotiate an alliance with France. But, it got dismissed by Benjamin Franklin as the sole commissioner.
1905 The physics journal Annalen der Physik publishes Albert Einstein‘s paper “Does the Inertia of a Body Depend Upon Its Energy Content?”, introducing the equation E=mc².
In 1905 Albert Einstein published his papers titled Annus mirabilis papers in the scientific journal Annalen der Physik. They contributed to the foundation of modern physics and changed the contemporary views on time, space, energy, and mass. This is often called the miracle year in English. The papers included the photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, special relativity, and mass-energy equivalence. They paved the way for the future and cleared the existing mystery about physics.
1908 Henry Ford‘s first Ford Model T automobile leaves the Piquette Plant in Detroit, Michigan
The first Model T was built on the second of August but sent to the factory on September 28, 1908. The model was produced from 1908 to 1927. The total number of cars produced was 15 million in the period. The model succeeded Ford Model N, which was produced for just 2 years from 1906 to 1908.
2003: European Space Agency launches SMART-1 satellite to orbit the moon.

space to orbit the moon. Aft2r 3 years of its mission, it was deliberately crashed into the moon’s surface. The total
cost of the spacecraft was 100 million euros, in a deliberate attempt to build an inexpensive and relatively small spaceship.
2008: Zhai Zhigang became the first Chinese to walk in space; he was part of the Shenzhou 7 crew.
Zhai Zhigang is a major general in the People Liberation Army Air Force. He is also a CNSA astronaut. In the 2008 Shenzhou 7 mission, he became the first Chinese to walk in space. His primary occupation is fighter piloting.
