1895: Fredrick E. Blaisdell patents the pencil.

On November 19, 1895, Fredrick received a patent for the improvement in the pre-existing design of pencil. He claimed to have provided a pencil of a new and improvised form. The pencil was so constructed that the marking in which the lead or crayon is enclosed may be removed as to uncover the marking – lead or crayon. This invention of Fredrick led to the discovery of the pencil we use today. The pointed lead could be reobtained by peeling off the shavings and the lead or crayon is fixed. He put forward several benefits of such pencils. As the tip is worn out, all you need to do is to peel off a little of the pencil covering and a new tip is made. Later the inventor, Fredrick E. Blaisdell also received a patent for a machine that manufactured pencils.
1911: NY receives the first wireless transmission.
The invention of the radio by Guglielmo Marconi is one of the greatest achievements. This Italian physicist and radio pioneer willfully succeeded in transmitting the radio signal across the Atlantic. However, he received criticism that the signal can only traverse for a distance of 200 miles or less. Moreover, he disapproved of the aforementioned critics and successfully transmitted the signal over 20,000 miles. Moreover, he disproved the then stated reason that the curvature of the earth would limit such long traversing transmission. The signal was the Morse code for the English alphabet ‘s’.
1969: Apollo 12 touches the land of the moon.

Apollo 12 was the second flight of the Apollo program to land on the surface of the moon. It was also the sixth crewed flight of the United Nations Apollo program. It was launched on November 19, 1969. The landing site of the mission was the ocean of storms on the moon. On November 19, they managed to receive a precise landing within the walking distance from the expected site. The Apollo 12 mission landed on an area of the Ocean of Storms (Latin Oceanus Procellarum) that had been visited earlier by several robotic missions which include Luna 5, Surveyor 3, and Ranger.
The mission – Apollo 12 – ended on the 24th of November with a success.
1994: Aishwarya Rai crowned 44th Miss World
The Indian beauty, Aishwarya Rai, at the age of 21 years was honored with the beauty pageant of the world. There was never a looking back for the Bollywood celebrity ever since. To win the title, one needs to be a beauty with brains and a compassionate heart. The winning answer of the lady goes, “The Miss Worlds that we have had up to date, have been proof enough that they have had compassion. Compassion for the underprivileged and not only for the people who have status and stature. We have had people, who can look beyond the barriers that man has set up – of nationalities and color. We have to look beyond those. This would make a true Miss World. A true person, a real person.”
However, the contest witnessed participation from 87 different countries across the globe. She managed to stand out and added a feather to her cap of success.
2010: ‘Harry Potter and the deathly hallows’ released

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is the seventh and penultimate addition to the film series of Harry Potter. It is based on a book by J. K. Rowling. It is the sequel to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The film is followed by, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2., which is the concluding film. The entire film series is a complete package for the whims and fancies of its admirers. Evidently, it left an imprint on the minds of its spectators.
Additionally, it received two nominations at the 83rd Academy Awards: Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects.
