1814: A treaty of peace is signed between the USA and Great Britain.
On December 24, 1814, America and Great Britain signed the ‘Treaty of Ghent’. Also, this was an initiative to end the war of 1812. This agreement was a signal of peace. Furthermore, both countries knew that war was causing a lot of loss. They needed each other. In terms of trade and in the name of allies. This was their chance to end all the violence and start anew. With this treaty, both the countries renewed the prewar borders.

In 1942, the famous airport Idlewild was built in New York City. The main cause of building this airport was to relieve LaGuardia of the extreme population traffic. Moreover, in 1963, the authorities decided to rename Idlewild Airport as JKF airport. This was in remembrance of the late President of America, John F. Kennedy.
