Celebrating Women’s Day Daily

In this contemporary world, women are present in every sphere of life. She may be an engineer, or a colleague, your doctor, or even your boss. They are an important part of everyone’s life. The most lovely and magnificent creation of God is a woman. Without whom, the universe cannot grow. Women’s Day observed on March 8 every year, is the day to celebrate these amazing life changers. 

Is the celebration of women’s day justified?

How many of us know the history of women’s day? Or know why is it celebrated. Well, what we mostly know is that women’s day is a celebration to create awareness about gender equality. The day is about recognizing the achievements of women in different fields. Briefly, to ’empower’ women.

But do you think that we all fulfill the true objectives of this day? No, we don’t. Nowadays, everything and every day are just commercialized. Though, multiple brands and companies observe this day every year through various promotional activities. Either they are seen distributing discount coupons, or some free goodie bags. But does all of these accomplish the goal for which the day got its importance?

People now need to realize the real meaning of this day and increase their knowledge of the subject. Women don’t require these monetary or materialistic benefits for them. They want an actual change in society from the grassroots level.

Are all women equal?

As we know, every woman has a different story of her own. A different struggle we don’t know about. Yet, even today, we tend to measure them all on one scale. We keep the same expectations from all the women. Moreover, we even want them to fulfill all of those. Despite their efforts, we try to create a contrast between two women as if they had to face an equal level of hardships. What we fail to see is their role in the struggle of this difficult life that we create for them. 

Every woman comes from a different perspective, with varied narratives. We often don’t even know what they had to face to be gracefully embracing their current position. This year shall be different than the previous ones. Instead of passing awful comments or de-motivating them in any manner, encourage them to thrive in life.

What is independence for women?

Being independent is what every girl desire at heart. With every woman, the definition of freedom may differ though. Some might feel free if they can go and roam out without any interference. And, for some wearing certain clothes might be a social symbol of independence. While different situations provide happiness to different women. Then why do we compare two women with such distinct individualities? Above all, we think that every woman has the same aspirations. And if one woman is happy with a particular circumstance, then so should others.

Don’t you think it’s a little unfair? This Women’s Day, let us not judge any woman on what she does, or even how she looks. Additionally, not compare them with each other. Empowering every woman irrespective of her background, social status, language, looks, etc. should be the motto this year on International Women’s Day. Hearing their stories without trying to find any connection with someone else’s should be the prime goal to achieve.

“A Successful Life”

Success is a word of which meaning differs from person to person. Though the factors that remain the same in every description are ‘happiness’ and ‘contentment’ in life. So, the question that arises is can we ever assess if or not a woman has a successful life?

The reply to it is no. We as a society don’t need to know if a woman is happy or not. On the contrary, we should let them be. Every woman needs a little happy space of her own. Where she doesn’t have to worry about anything. She can do whatever she wants.

Choice – The journey to Euphoria

Happiness for a woman may be in different forms. She can just be a happy homemaker. Or a 9-5 job that she loves working for. Even having a meal of her choice may bring her happiness. Besides, the smallest task of not having to learn how to cook can also be a path to joy for her.

What all women want is “choice”. They being able to make their own decisions. Their choices of what they want in their life. From very little things to the important aspects of life. They should have the power to choose for themselves. And thus, this will bring them bliss in life.

 

In the end, basic point is to help each woman in their respective ways. Meanwhile, to achieve the full power of empowerment, we cannot separate one group that has to contribute towards this. The goal requires the efforts of everyone including women themselves. They should be even more careful and warm towards another woman who is struggling. While we live in a competitive world, let us not forget empathy and our values.

You can help a woman in various ways. It is not important for you to actively take part in her life to help her. If she is a businesswoman, you can simply promote her business. If she is your mother, grandmother, sister, or relative, the easiest gesture is to ask them if they need help in anything. Mind this, it is not their duty to take care of everyone in the family. But they do this out of love and respect for all.
