First, let us see what does a receptionist actually is. We often conflate the terms secretary and receptionist.
A receptionist covers many areas of work to assist your business. Like setting appointments, record keeping, filing, and a myriad of other office tasks. All for the sake of keeping things moving. They are the first contact, most people have with a company. Also, the last face they see on their way out the door.

A secretary, on the other hand, does not work for a business at large. A secretary handles many of these same functions. But, they are usually specialized in assisting one individual or at most a small team. They are deeply involved in managing their projects, communicating needs between them and their clients. They are important for organizing the whole mess on a day-to-day basis, usually to exacting standards.
Thus May 13, recognizes the efforts of these hardworking individuals. This day was launched in 1991 to celebrate the role that professional receptionists have all around the world, to recognize how important receptionists are. WORLD COCKTAIL DAY
No party is complete without a cocktail in your hand. For a fun-filled night out, cocktails provide a wide arrangement of scents and flavors to keep everything exciting and have a long history of becoming a steady staple in people’s lives. So, today on May 13 we celebrate this awesomeness. Let us dive in and see what World Cocktail Day is all about.
The history of a cocktail dates back to 1806 when the Balance and Columbian Repository coined the term “cocktail” as stimulating liquor with a wide variety of sweets, waters, and bitters. The Oxford Dictionary defined the term with a different set of connotations, describing it as a horse with a tail like a cock’s, with its tail cocked up instead of hung down. Cocktail as a drink, however, started as a British invention in the 19th century and has since become an American innovation when a Connecticut-born bartender Jerry Thomas wrote the book “The Bartender’s Guide.” The Bartender’s Guide broadcasted an encyclopedia of how to mix drinks and recipes on some of the best combinations of drinks and flavors.
