SUDEP Action Day
SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. It is the condition when a person dies suddenly and the cause of the death remains
unfound. It is a neurological disease that is found in millions of people across the globe.
Studies state that 3 people are dying due to SUDEP each day in the UK. Therefore, this day is recognized to make people aware globally, about it and to educate people regarding SUDEP.
History
Getting people aware of this is not the only solution. hence, SUDEP Awareness Day was renamed as SUDEP action Day in 2017. To encourage people to not only know what it is, its causes but also to take action. Take action to let everyone know who is aware and get the focus of government and neurologists to work on this issue.
How to Observe?
- Start with making the unaware people understand this issue and encourage them to take actions at their levels
- Sharing at social media and writing to the local government will help at the ground level to take this issue further.
- Make noise, raise voice in a non-violent manner, to grab the attention of higher authorities and to make them focus and to take a look into this so that research can be done in this specific area
“Turn your wounds into wisdom.” — Oprah Winfrey
The people who have never failed or never done any mistakes have never actually lived their life. Failure is a part of the success that should be celebrated as well. The best thing is to make your mistakes and opportunities to learn and grow. For this, all you require is a positive perception towards life and towards everything you come across with.
