Religious Freedom Day
Religions and religious organizations have inspired people to be kinder and humbler on a daily basis. It has encouraged humans to be more sympathetic to the plight of their fellow man. Over the years, people that share common beliefs have came together to form religious organizations. Although choosing religion must be a personal choice, but sometimes people who are in power, start forcing their thoughts and beliefs on others. Therefore, the reason why religious freedom must be granted to protect everyone.
History
The celebration of Religious Freedom Day began on January 16, 1786. it came into existence as the United States of America became a sovereign nation. The Virginia General Assembly adopted Thomas Jefferson’s landmark Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. The statue guarantees religious freedom to all people residing in the U.S.A.

You can celebrate the Religious Freedom Day in many ways. First of all, you must know the importance of this event. For this you can read many books that highlight this event. Many of these books have been adapted into movies also. Some of them are, The Name of the Rose, The Witch of The Blackbird Pond, The Diary of a Young Girl, etc. You can also discuss this topic in your book or film club and teach your children about the importance of it.
