Winter is here, Christmas seems so close. This is a month of joy and merriment. As we brace ourselves for yet another new year and new resolutions, we must remember that the COVID 19 is still not over. We must all stay safe and healthy. For time immemorial, connectivity and communication is one aspect of technology and life that has been given utmost priority. From delivering letters, packages, and whatnot. We have been needing faster, better, and more efficient ways of travel and communication. Today, December 7, the International Civil Aviation Day is celebrated just to glorify that fact. For years now a lot of workers, scientists, engineers, and other professionals have been putting their utmost effort into the same.
Did you know that a Boeing Jumbo 747 weighs just as much as a group of 67 African Elephants? Interesting right! Some of you may have noticed this, but after a 3-hour flight trip we end up drinking a lot of water. Do you know why? This is due to the extremely low humidity levels at that high altitude in an airplane. Of course, we do not feel as much dehydrated after drinking coffee. But a 3-hour flight definitely makes the mouth, nose, and throat to dry out.

Established in 1994, the International Civil Aviation Day is the creation of the International Civil Aviation Organisation or the ICAO. After the ICAO initiated the proposal of this day The United National General Assembly and the Canadian Government both passed the resolution. Thus, December 7 is the day for celebrating International Civil Aviation Day.
ICAO has been established for helping the United States grow its network. From Trading to transport and whatnot. The ICAO is now the best-known air network system. Nationally and internationally, the aviation system ICAO helps with global connectivity and peace. This is one of the most relevant and vital developments for the Chicago Convention. Thus enabling universal prosperity.
How to celebrate
Today marks 75 years of global connections. Therefore celebrations must be in order. Firstly we must all pay our respects to the brave and resilient pilots and all others who work in the Aviation sector. Secondly, we shall all follow the theme for today’s celebration which is “Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development”. And so we can make posters, charts and even just a walk of appreciation for this day. Lastly, we utilize social media to spread awareness about today and encourage others to join in the celebration.
