We have successfully completed half a year. 2020 is flying by like a shooting star, and here we are at the end of July. It is a long year ahead just like the months that went by. The days that passed have taught us many things and we are going to rock the rest of the months as well. We bring to you the different reasons we should be celebrating each day through this Today column so read on to know why you should.
Often it seems we exist in a paradox, where we deem to be self-reliant, yet are dependent on various things from nature to survive daily. We are part of an extended family, including all plant and animal species. We are a part of a system, a chain, and all of us are links in it. It is our duty and responsibility to protect and help all species to survive together. It is because of their contribution, we survive, dream, and fly as high as we want to. Along with our friends and family, every living thing is our neighbor and we ought to help them.

We have another reason to celebrate today. Let us put some forward our support to our neighbors, who get sidelined due to our hectic lives. Today is ‘International Tiger Day’, the perfect occasion to celebrate.
The ecology of our planet is safeguarded by several living species, from plants to wild animals that removing anyone from the chain would threaten the ecosystem into collapsing. Ants, crows, vultures, whales, lions, tigers, we, all of us are a part of this system. And, no one can establish control or ownership solely, as all species have equal rights to freedom. But, over the years, we have exploited all the resources available to most of our benefit.
Tigers are one such animal, whose features such as skin, have been utilized for human benefit. The number of tigers has gone down drastically in the past century. Today marks the importance of these tigers and the necessity to conserve them for the future years. There might come a time, the world would have no tigers, and they would be on the list of the extinct species. To prevent this scenario, from becoming a reality, we require measures and awareness, to keep them intact.
To celebrate today spread word about the necessity for quick actions to guard the species. Contribute to organizations that work for these, and vouch for your support to them. The planet is as much ours as it is theirs, let us come together to love and live together.
