We have successfully completed half a year. 2020 is flying by like a shooting star, and here we are in July. It is a long year ahead just like the months that went by. The days that passed have taught us many things and we are going to rock the rest of the months as well. We bring to you the different reasons we should be celebrating each day through this Today column so read on to know why you should.
There have been debates forever on quantity versus quality, and quality has won. We are in the race to have more, compromising on lasting longer. Yet, the aim of our lives remains to sustain longer, but we again miss the whole point. It is not to stay longer, but to do something that lasts longer. Let us aim at making us, our community, the society we reside in, and the world adapts virtues and habits that would leave a long-lasting mark, no matter who stays and who leaves!
“The flowers bloomed only once a year, yet they are cherished forever.”

We have another reason to celebrate today. Let us put some party into our otherwise, hectic work life. Today is ‘Cousins Day’, the perfect occasion to celebrate.
Not friends, and not siblings exactly, yet partners throughout our life, right from childhood to old age. Cousins are unique relationships, not tried and tested before getting into one, but still hold amazing places in our hearts. Those summer holiday afternoons in our grandma’s backyard have been one of the best times ever. Pulling each others’ legs at times, teasing all day long, and yet having each others’ back at hard times, cousins just become our friends, a part of our journey.
Today is the day to celebrate these friends and give them all the due credit they deserve in our lives. Surprise them with something close to them, something they are absolutely in love with. Make their day extremely special the same way they always made you feel. Spread the word about cousin’s day and let all others celebrate their much deserving cousins like never before. Also, remember your best return gift would be their warmest smile!
