Human beings walked the grounds of Earth billions of years ago. We have grown since then to watch the sunrise and set every day. But, within those 24 hours of every day, someone invented the light bulb. Someone else changed the face of politics. Moreover, man or woman we have changed history like no other living organism. We have built the creations around us. In this journey, we have made mistakes. And also, corrected them. Having said that, today on February 6, we celebrate greatness. We celebrate our faults. 1867: Peabody Fund forms to promote Black education in the

On February 6, 1867, the Peabody foundation started the Peabody fund. This organization provides scholarships and construction for the Black community. Furthermore, it is established in the southern states of the USA. This establishment was a way to give grants to newly freed slaves. The foundation circulates the grants within local communities. The firm was started in the honor of Sr. George Peabody. He is the father of modern philanthropy. His ideas were to improve the state of society at large.
1894: Bottle Opener patented by William Painter.
In 1894, William Painter patented bottle openers. This was a great invention. Moreover, today is one of the simplest yet most effective tools to have in the house. The same year he also patented the bottle lifter. This was an extremely simple design. Also, he called it crown corks. It worked on the principle of a metal lid lined with the thin cork disk. It was a futuristic find. Hence, William Painter was well recognized amongst his folks.

1971: Alan Shepherd hits a golf ball on the moon.
Almost fifty years ago, Alan Shepherd did something unbelievable. He hit the first golf ball on the moon. Well, that sounds pretty unrealistic. But, he was the first and only person to have ever done that. Golfers to date joke how even fifty years later it was the most impressive bunker shot. Alan Shepherd was a commander of Apollo 18. When he and his crew returned to Earth, They brought back 90 pounds of moon rocks.
2018: Elon Musk’s company launches Falcon Heavy, World’s most powerful rocket.
On February 6, Elon Musk launched the world’s most powerful rocket. This rocket is Falcon Heavy. Additionally, his company SpaceX launched the rocket. The launch took place at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This was also the first time a personally financed rocket venture had taken off. It was so powerful that it was capable of hoisting a payload of Earth’s orbit.
