This December 30, we will observe two important events. One is ‘Falling Needles Family Fest day’ and the other is ‘National Resolution planning day’. It is a good idea to bid farewell to our lovely Christmas tree and enjoy it with our family. Along with it, we can plan our resolutions and make ourselves determined for the next year. This is a nice way to welcome the new year. Today, we will apprise you about these two days as well as a guide on how to celebrate them.
Falling Needles Family Fest day
Introduction
We celebrate this event to rejoice in the finals moments of a live Christmas tree. Furthermore, we dedicate this day to the recycling of the Yuletide trees since they have been standing decorated for weeks without water. Therefore, the needles of the tree start falling off. It is a gathering day where family and friends come together to see the needles fall down gently.
History
December 30 as the falling needles family fest day was created by the celebrity couple Thomas and Ruth Roy of wellcat.com. The Christmas holidays come to end and many carcasses of the yuletide trees accumulate. This holiday event is an honorary adieu for the Christmas tree for its service this year. This day also encourages the proper recycling and management of the Christmas tree. On this day, the celebrants take off the lights and ornaments of the Christmas tree. Furthermore, they take down the tree after all needles are shed.
How to celebrate
We celebrate it by dancing around the Christmas tree while it’s leaves fall one by one. This is to bid farewell to the tree. Then, you can recycle it by cutting it down into parts and using it for outdoor fire pits. You can also use it as a shelter for birds. Furthermore, it is used to create protection for fishes for feeding and spawning. It can be donated to mulching programs or be used as a mulch for bedding around the house.
National Resolution Planning day
Introduction
This day is a great head start to plan all the resolutions and commit to them. Everyone makes goals and strategies for the upcoming year. However, only a few are successfully able to keep up with their resolutions throughout the year. Therefore, it is better to think about them before-hand. Since mentally preparing ourselves for the upcoming year will help us follow our resolutions.
History
The phrase “new year resolution” appeared for the first time in a Boston newspaper in 1813. It wasn’t until that time the resolutions became a thing. In the middle ages, knights committed resolutions known as the ‘Peacock Vow’. These resolutions sustain the code of knighthood. The knights placed their hands on a cooked peacock to renew their oaths to protecting honor and chivalry.
How to celebrate
On this day we should look back to what we gained in the previous year and where we lacked. Before thinking about next year’s goals, we should analyze ourselves and our needs for the upcoming years. Then, we should make plans on how to achieve what we want or lack. This gives us a rough idea of our main goals.
