Have you ever wondered how many impossibilities you can make into possibilities? You wake up every day and start afresh. It is a clean slate on which you can write the sagas of your doings. We celebrate each day for what is worth it. Moreover, every single day is an opportunity for you to spend time with your family and friends. ‘Impossible’ has the word ‘possible’ hidden in it. We commemorate two very unusual days. Firstly, on February 24 we celebrate ‘World Bartender Day’. We also appreciate anti-bullying in our lives by celebrating ‘Pink Day’.
World Bartender Day:
Pre- covid Friday nights were the best. You would go clubbing, meet with friends. Moreover, you would have the time of your life. Well, the bartender played a key role in a successful night. Well, today is about our friends, bartenders. You might have a usual person who makes the perfect margarita. Or a person who makes the best gin and tonic. Well, today you appreciate this section. On February 24, let us all celebrate World Bartender Day. Furthermore, read its history and how you can celebrate it.
History:
You would be surprised to know that bartenders existed from the 1400s. It may seem like a modern profession. Some of the earliest bartenders were from Europe. Also, a famous bartender Jerry Thomson
published “The Bar-Tender’s Guide” With the change in times, the profession of bartending has been on a constant increase. Furthermore, people have started noticing how to drink makers’ work. And how different they are in different countries. A bartender from London will make you the best gin and tonic. Whereas European bartenders do not talk much. Also, American bartenders make some classic drinks that no one else can make. So just to appreciate the diversity in this profession, people started celebrating World Bartender Day.
How to celebrate:
Celebrating this day is super easy. All you have to do is maybe go to a close-by bar. Be nice to the person who is making you your drinks. Also, tip him or her a little extra on this day. Or you could be a bartender yourself today. Just whip up some new recipes and get to work. Make some new drinks for your friends and family. And if you do go to a bar say ‘thank you’ and ‘please’ to your bartenders. It will make their day.
Pink Day:
Moving on to the next part of the day. Bullying has been a grave danger to society for years now. With changing days, more cases are uprising. As the generation of tomorrow, we must stop this inhumane act. Well, Pink Day celebrates anti-bullying. On February 24, stand up to all the bullies. Additionally, make this day memorable and make the most of it. So join hands and read how you can make this day special for everyone.
History:
Pink Day is a recently started day. Everyone started celebrating this day in 2007. David Shepherd and
Travis Price are the founders of Pink Day. They have a story behind them. In 2007, in their local school, they saw one of their fellow students being bullied. She was bullied because she was wearing a pink skirt. This incident troubled their minds and they decided to begin this day. Back in the year they stood up for their friend and began this revolution. The next day everyone wore a pink shirt in solidarity with the bullied girl.
How to Celebrate:
You can simply start by wearing your favorite pink garment. This will mean more if you are a male. Moreover, get out of your house and stand up for bullying. If you have schools nearby, go there and educate more people. Because awareness begins from a very young age. Bullying is mostly done in schools and colleges. So start from there. You should also read more about bullying and educate the young children of the house. Because change starts at home.
