February 13 is World Radio Day. This day spreads awareness about the importance of radio. Radio is a popular medium to exchange information in a trusted manner. Additionally, it is an inseparable part of our lives that strengthens networking among broadcasters and listeners. World Radio Day came into existence in 2011. Members of UNESCO proclaimed the day on Spanish Radio Academy’s formal request. United Nations General Assembly adopted it in 2012 as an International Day. Moreover, On the same day in 1946, United Nations Radio was established. Also, this day was first celebrated in the year 2013.

How is it celebrated?

It is celebrated using different color themes. On this day, every common man digs up the old or new radio device and play any channel with broadcasting or favorite song in the celebration of Radio Day.Moreover, all this can have your day well. This shows the power of radio.

National Apology Day

Introduction:

This day encourages people to repair relationships by getting people talking again, and making them feel comfortable again.  February 13 is the day for expression of sorrow. Moreover, this day commemorates the national apology made by the Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, in the year 2008.

On February 13, 2008, the former Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, made a national apology to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This was for the past laws and policies. As a result, it inflicted profound grief and losses on these people. Many people of the Stolen Generation were present in the Chamber to hear the national apology. Thus, the journey to national apology started with the Bringing Them Home report.

Most people of Australia observe National Apology Day. Although many people have complicated feelings regarding apologies. The day encourages them to apologize. Moreover, it works as an inspiration for people that apologizing can develop relationships and people.
