There are some habits that we take for granted, either we stop them or been heavily impacted. Cleaning and personal hygiene become essential to combat Covid-19. Mainly, the Travel and tourism industry got a sharp decline in its sales. However, the increased awareness of cleanliness increases the demand for the Commercial Cleaning Industry. Therefore, in this article, we will see the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Commercial Cleaning Industry and what future it holds.

  •  On plastic and stainless steel, it can survive for two to three days.

Services that Cleaning Industry focuses on selling before COVID-19 were Green cleaning, Janitorial services, Day porter, Carpet cleaning, Hard floor care, Window cleaning, Pressure washing, Carpet cleaning, etc. However, before the pandemic, the commercial Cleaning business specifically targets businesses, schools, and retail stores. In the year 2019, Cleaning Industry has a total revenue of $61 billion. The Coronavirus pandemic was the turning point for most of the Cleaning Industry.

Before the pandemic hits, the services of the Cleaning Industry were not that focused. However, typically their work was unnoticed and in the background. Although, this was not the case for a long time. The Coronavirus pandemic has shifts Cleaning business services into public eyes. In Covid-19 times, Cleaning Workers were as important as a doctor in the hospital. As cleanliness is also a factor for a healthy lifestyle. Workers of the Cleaning business are gaining new respect. They help in the maintenance of hygiene and prevents the spread of Coronavirus.

Now that COVID-19 is a huge concern for Cleaning Industry, then industries focus more heavily on cleaning services Virus disinfecting services, Return-to-the-office cleaning, Deep cleaning services, Emergency janitorial services.

Consequently, this increases the demand for Commercial Cleaning Workers. According to the report, there is a 75 percent yearly increment in the advertisement for cleaners. Retailers and hotel companies are taking cleanliness more seriously. The best example that fits in this scenario is Marriott International, an international hotel with more than 6,500 properties. Its cleanliness council has made a policy to use hospital-grade disinfectants for rooms and hotel areas. Therefore, every organization that has much crowd is trying to assure their guests that their entities are hygienic and free of the Coronavirus.
