1729: Diamonds found in Minas Geras, Brazil

Gold was found in 1698 and 1729 diamonds were found. 1793: Alexander Mackenzie reaches the Pacific Ocean, becoming the first Euro-American to complete a transcontinental crossing of Canada

1893: Katharine Lee Bates writes “America the Beautiful” in Colorado

1931: 1st solo flight around the world 7d 19hrs (Wiley Post)

1997: “One Piece”, world’s best-selling manga and comic series, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda first appears serialized in “Weekly Shōnen Jump” in Japan

One Piece is a Japanese shōnen manga series composed and shown by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997, and has been gathered into 96 tankōbon volumes as of April 2020.

 

2012: Pranab Mukherjee is elected 13th President of India
