How To Balance Work And Study Life Effortlessly

Working while studying is a common practice most of us do. Generally, high school and college students work part-time jobs to earn money while studying. But it often becomes difficult to handle your studies and work-life together. It can be stressful and hectic to juggle between school work and job responsibilities and work. There are times when becomes difficult with pending school assignments, homework, exams, or projects. But everyone needs to find a balance between work-life and studies. 

Here are some tips that will help you balance your work and studies effortlessly. 

Communicate with your employer 

Your employer may be more accommodating than you thought. You should freely tell your employer about your study plans. You can explain to them how it will be beneficial for your current position. One should be open to your employer. It is crucial for your work relationships. Your employer may be very supportive than you realize. You can also ask for annual leave in small parts to complete your assignments and exams.  

Create a Schedule 

Make a proper schedule of the work and your homework and assignments. Use your time wisely. You can organize your study time between work breaks. Take proper time to study. Try to create a schedule that doesn’t overload you and helps you to manage work and study easily. Use a calendar, planner, or a phone app to keep a schedule and to keep on top of your duties and school work.   

Priorities your commitments and be realistic about them. 

Accept that you will have to prioritize some things over others to find a balance between work and study. Re-order your current activities and commitments according to your priorities. You have to prioritize work time, study time, family time, etc. 

Learn to say ‘No’ 

Learn to say ‘No’ to people, events, or things that are not important to you or are not your priorities. Your time and energy are very important, especially when your schedule is really tight. 

Plan ahead 

Plan your work ahead of deadlines. Even when you are not juggling between work and study, you should plan your things ahead of deadlines. Do not keep an assignment pending till last night before the submission date. Instead, plan so that you don’t have to worry later. 

Write a journal. Make a list of your pending work or a to=do list. It will help you remember the tasks you need to do in advance. You don’t have to rush to the last minute and complete the task in a hurry. 

Manage stress level 

Stress is never good. Stress can delay your work, affect your health, and can affect your work as well as your study.  Take time to relax or to destress yourself. See that the amount of work you are taking isn’t increasing your stress levels. If that is the case, take a step and quit the job or find something suitable for your schedule to earn money. You can find a weekend job instead of a part-time one. Just don’t stress yourself too much. 

Use your time wisely 

Your time is very important. Do not waste it on things that are not important, as you are already having a busy schedule. You can reduce your screen time or your social media time and invest it in better things. Prioritize study and work.  Invest your time in the thing which is important at its current state. 

Health is important 

Do not let your busy schedule affect your health. Have proper timely meals and be hydrated to keep you fit. Being sick won’t help your busy schedule. Instead, work and study will pile up and will be more stressful. Hence take care of yourself and find a balance between work-study and your health. 

Remaining healthy both mentally and physically is important. Sleeping for 7-8 hours a day is very important for your health.  Do not sacrifice sleep to complete your tasks. It will affect your health immensely in the future.  

 Eat healthy food. Do not eat takeaways and restaurant food with the excuse that you don’t have time to cook. Cooking some vegetables doesn’t take long. Eat clean, healthy, and homecooked to stay fit in your busy times. 

Ask for help if you need 

Reach out to a knowledgeable person with any problem you are facing. An academic advisor, classmate, professional therapist, or family, you can talk to anyone you feel comfortable with. Talk to them about your school or work problems and find a solution. Taking help is not a sign of weakness it’s a sign of a wise man. 

Following all these tips should help you find a balance between work and study. Remember what is important for you. Give your 100% in work as well as study. Finding balance is not a difficult task you just have to be persistent and focused. Remember why you are doing all the work and do not push yourself too hard. It’s a process, you will find a way to balance all things slowly and gradually if you follow the right steps.
