Wildfires are very common in the woods or the countryside all around the world. Being in a natural habitat, wildfires spread very fast and are difficult to control. Therefore being prepared is the best. This kind of fire is quite devastating. If a wildfire is not contained properly then they can destroy scorch hundreds of trees, drive wild animals from their homes and miles of forestland. Therefore every year on May 2, Wildfire Community Preparedness Day is celebrated. Natural reasons for wildfire are lighting and volcanic eruptions. Humans can also start a wildfire. The causes of a wildfire started by humans are sparks from work equipment, discarded cigarettes, or simply arsonists. Today we are celebrating this day to raise awareness about the wildfires and how to act if you are around the wildfire.
History
The history of wildfires is as old as this earth. But with the increasing interference of humans in natural habitat, there has been a significant increase in wildfires too. The sparks from woodworking machinery or fuel spillages in the undergrowth are one of the causes of wildfire. If not this then the careless campers throw away lit cigarettes which become a roaring fire in a few minutes. Therefore, the National Fire Association started to celebrate this day. They marked this day in the calendar to increase awareness about the wildfire in the community and to make the right decisions around it.
How to celebrate
Celebrating this day is very simple. If you live near a forest area, then go for a walk with your loved ones and enjoy the natural habitat. Also, you can volunteer with others to keep these areas safe. Therefore, today put on your gardening gloves. And help others to clean the area which is prone to catch due to the litter left by careless people. Moreover, you can teach the children about the dangers of fire and the effects of carelessness on the wildlife and ecosystems of the forest. Free Comic Book Day

After all, everybody, one in their life, thinks about being a superhero. But comics were not just a medium for these superhero stories. Comics have a history and stories of their own. These were a way to tell fantastic stories, to share political ideas and agendas. And certainly to make a mockery of political figures in every age. There is not a topic in the world that has not been touched by a comic artist. Today, on May 2, the Free World Comic Book Day is celebrated to give chance to people who cannot afford these amazing stories.

This day was first celebrated by Joe Field in 2001. While writing for a magazine of the comic industry, he noted that there had been a rejuvenation in purchases. This happened because of the recent flow of comic book franchise movies. Since both, the society and finances were looking forward to this never-ending wealth of stories. Field suggested celebrating this day to spread the fandom as far as possible.
The first Free Comic Book Day was held at the opening of the 2002 Spider-Man film. The purpose was hoping to ride on the wave of promotion and all the excitement going on about it in the news and other media sources. Not every year is that faithful to occur on a film release day. It is a matter of fate. Also, today the retailers give away comics to the people visiting their stores. This is to raise the interest in the readers even when comics cost them a small amount.
