Dr. Robert H. Schuller said, “Today’s accomplishments were yesterday’s impossibilities”. This quote should be your motto today. Get up and try something new. In addition to that, do something that you have been wanting to do for a while. Today on December 8, celebrate two exhilarating days. Become a professional Bartender today and celebrate National Bartender Day. Furthermore, also look back upon the extraordinary day when Mary was conceived. Also, celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception:

One of the most important lessons of Christianity is taught on December 8. On this day, Christians celebrate the conception of Mary herself. She was born in a biological way. Although, Christians consider her conception pure and pristine. The followers of Christianity believe that God mediated when Mary was born.

History:

For years people have believed that Mary was conceived without the indigenous sin. Firstly, this day was celebrated as “The Holy Day of Obligation”. Secondly, Catholic churches across the world hold feasts to celebrate this day. Special services mark the beginning of December 8 as the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. In Rome, the pope places a wreath in front of the huge statue of the Virgin Mary. Lastly, people for years have celebrated this feast at home with their families. They also enjoy street food. Moreover, many countries declare this day as a public holiday.

How to Celebrate:

You can celebrate this day with your family and friends. Primarily you can invite your relatives for a feast. Then, you can go for a mass at a Catholic Church near you. Next, you can observe this beautiful feast holiday. Your family can also make Mary candles. Buy a tall white pillar candle. Additionally, add lace and fabric around it. Make sure your lace is white in color. You could also cook a white dish. Bake a cake. Cover it in white frosting. This could be your moment to bond with your family.

National Bartender Day:

Bartending has been a great aspect of our history. Multiple cultures celebrate the artistry of bartending. A huge population of America can bartend and make exciting drinks. For this very reason celebrate National Bartender Day today. Owe your day to that exceptional tapster that you go to, to relieve your stress of the day.

History:

Primarily, innkeepers in European countries bartended for their families and guests. Then, Jerry Thomas, an American Bartender published a book giving mixologists across the world tips for bartending. This is one of the most prominent professions in the U.S.A. Gin and Tonic were invented during the dry era. Lastly, television’s loved bartender Moe Syzlak made a debut on Simpsons. All these events together create the history of this day.

How to Celebrate:

Today visit your favorite bar. Leave an extra tip for your mixologist. Furthermore, appreciate your bartender. You could even try a new cocktail. Spice up your evening with something you never tried before. Considering we are living in a pandemic; you could be your own bartender tonight. Call your family to the table. Put your mixology skills to test. Create new drinks. Look up new and interesting recipes online.

“A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory.” – Albert Einstein
