Brag Social is a big supporter of women’s empowerment. And this article tries to put forth the idea that women have played an integral role since time immemorial. Everyone has mostly grown up listening to their parents recite mythological stories. Moreover, if you ever heard carefully, women played a major role in these fables. Bruce Timm once said, “One of the things that intrigued us the most about the whole Wonder Woman mythology is the actual mythology of it. Her character has distinct roots in the classic Greek Mythology.” This quote shows us how even our modern female characters are connected to mythology in different ways. So do not wait anymore. Read the article and enlighten yourself.

1. Females in the Greek Mythology:

Greek Mythology has spread its roots everywhere. Well, if you are wondering if women were present in these mythologies, they most definitely were. The Greek Civilization treated women with the utmost respect. Furthermore, historians tell us how a majority of the Greek deities were Goddesses. Greek Mythology has massively appreciated the serene grace of these women. Also, they were the epitomes of perfection. Some common Greek myths about women are Pygmalion, Cupid, Psyche, and Galatea.

Women were an important aspect of Greek Mythology. Without them, our fables would be incomplete. Additionally, we would not have a rich past to look into.  Greek mythology greatly recognized women’s power. An easy example of this would be Goddess Athena. As one might know she is the Goddess of wisdom, war, and the arts. She also represents the industry, justice, and skills. Her story has an unusual beginning. They say she sprung from her father’s skull. Hence, she had everything to do with intellect. Moreover, she dressed like a man and always walked in pride. This shows the high stature women had in Greek Mythology. She was a warrior.

The Gods treated women as equal or maybe even more superior. Goddess Aphrodite was one of the strongest Goddesses in Greek Mythology. Women from the beginning were told they should be pure and celibate. But, this Goddess followed her passions without worrying about what others would say. She followed her passions and did as she liked. However, she was always a respected deity.
