Different aspects of our existence bind together to form how our life lays out. Be it how you work to make a name for yourself. Or just how the universe conspires to get you what you want. Shifting the gear a little. Do you remember those common social media posts that you read? They tell you about your habits and way of living according to your zodiac signs. Well, some do not believe in it. Because you might say every third page tells me something different. But, some people adhere to it. This is because there is so much in-depth research and study about it. Be it how the stars align to make your life easier. Or how just every Gemini on planet Earth would some similar traits.

However, the whole saga of zodiac signs did not just appear out of thin air. It has a solid past and that is what we are here for. We discover the nuances of these astrological signs and how they have affected our lives. So read on to be enlightened.

2.

The word zodiac comes from a Greek word that means “circle of animals”. The whole story began in Greece. Well, yes you read that right. Zodiac signs are related to Greek Mythology. A lot of people wonder when we human beings decided to turn to nature. But we did. Sten Odenwald said, “We don’t know who first came up with the idea for looking at things in nature and divining influences on humans”. So the historians have an answer for this. Back in the day, when humans were nomadic hunters and lived on fruits and leaves they drew on caves. These cave drawings show us that spirits diffuse within animals and objects. These spirited animals then influence our being. Moreover, if the hunters pleased the animals they would be successful with their hunts.

Then came the magic of Greece. Ancient Greek scriptures portray the further story. The Greek astrological signs ran parallel to twelve constellation groups. You can view these constellations in the night sky. Although at different times of the year. Hence, your birth month decides your zodiac sign. The four elements of Earth are Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. These elements accompanied each astrological sign. But, individually. A clear proof of this is the representational pictures of the astrological signs.

The zodiac sign Aries has a story that is related to the golden fleece of a Ram. Hence, the symbolic sign is a Ram. Then if you see Gemini you will see twins. Well, that is because this is a story of two twin brothers and their love for one another. Another great example is Capricorn. If you ever see its symbol you will realize it is the sign of a goat. Now the Greek mythology has innumerable stories about a strange goat. Astrologers believe this goat is connected to the Greek god Zeus. They believe that this goat was a sea creature. And hence, it became part of a constellation. These examples are just stellar proofs of how the entire system of astrological signs is connected to the lives of animals.
